You'll have more punch and headroom with MM transformers at gigging volumes, but will sound similar at lower volumes

@ HurtwoodEC

Isn't super fast and super highs mean "Stiff"? Is that what you mean with unforgiving too?

Lol I got confused with Homesick and Hurtwoodec at a quick glance. I was indeed talking to you.

I never would've thought a bout it but I think you're right. I'm a bit limited in experience with cables but I think it makes sense cause this mogami I use sound brighter and detailed but stiff compared to others I tried in the store before I got it.

And on the Output Transformer, I also have supposedly an "upgrade" OT which is the 18025 Classic Tone which is sorta like their flagship iron. I always wanted a big sounding OT and listening to their clips, I opted for this CTone but after reading your posts, I think I have better view of the big picture.

If you noticed I was rambling in this thread about stiffness I can't dial out with my OTS. Do you think it could be my Classic Tone OT? My PT is Nik's btw. I have 360v plate voltages on v4 v5. When I clipped my LNFB, the compression it contributed seems to satisfy me for the moment though so right now I'm happy.
