Okay guys, I'll accept my dunce cap.  I am a techno idiot.  But something is not quite right here I think.  Perhaps the operator... Huh?

On the footswitch when only the green light is on...notta, nothing, no sound.  Only when the red is on (or both) do I hear anything.  Is the green a boost only? Or... What am I doing wrong, I realize I have too many buttons and gizmos to play with.  Is that normal?  I had assumed the green only would be a clean channel but I hear nothing when the red is out.
It took me a while to get the Overdrive to clicking but man...whatta sound!

I am really having a bit of trouble navigating all these gizmos and options.

I can say, however, this is the best all around sounding amp I have ever owned or played.  That includes Fender 65 Twin, Concert,  Princeton Reverb, A few Boogies, A peavey Classic 50 and a few off brands.  This is one sweet amp, The cleans are right up there with the best Fenders I have heard ...and the gain is second to none.

Thanks to JohnE for the speaker cab recommendation.  My gosh, My Strat sounds fantastic!

Do you get both the PAB and the OD working when the pedal is not plugged in? Not sure how Nik is wiring these now but on mine without the pedal plugged in PAB is on when the switch is UP and the OD is on when the switch is DOWN. They both need to be down to have the pedal do the switching.

If you can get both to work without the pedal plugged in then its my guess the pedal is the problem. If not then I think one of the relays has become unseated in transit. You'll need to reseat them, BEWARE, high voltages inside the amp, check the caps have all drained before delving in with your hands.

PAB=Pre Amp By pass or "clean" am I correct?

1) Without the footswitch and the OD switch turned to manual (the boost still down or on pedal) I get a clean channel.  I am runnig a HolyGrail Reverb through the Kleinulator and it sounds very Fendery (mids are almost to zero) with very good depth btw.  Very Nice.

2)The first time w/out the footswitch I turned both the OD and PreAmpBoost in the up or manual position it popped and fizzed and crackled. Very unsettling! I tried it again and seemed to simply engage the boost over the clean channel as one might expect.

3)I get no sound at all with footswitch in and both toggles set to manual

4)With footswitch in OD switch to pedal position I get now clean channel and sound only when the red light turns on the OD channel.

3 & 4 Nik advised me to try. I am sure he'll be back with me in a bit.  I am trying to learn and eliminate the operator error in this mix.

PAB = Power Amp Boost. This takes the tone stack out of the circuit giving a volume boost going into the power amp.

Your number 2) is where you should investigate. Those two switches should operate independantly and you should be able to hear the difference. If either of those is giving problems I'll bet thats where the problem with the footswitch lies. If either of those give any problme at all, investigate the relays to see if they are seated correctly

I finally found out what was wrong.  It had me quite perplexed because nothing seemed consistent, except that things woould take turns not working.  The Kleinulator has a quirky connection where the 9v supply goes in.  I've tried several different ones (Roland, Boss, One Spot etc.) and found one that really fits the housing of the input like a glove.  IT still goes on and off without pressure against it to hold it in...if it is bumped.  Pretty minor issue really.  Otherwise the amp works fine and sounds simply AMAZING!  I am truly impressed.

There was another thread about this, seems the orignal k's that Nik made had 2.5mm sockets as opposed to the standard Boss 2.1mm sockets that he now fits. It would be a good idea to swap the socket I think, the 2.1mm is fairly ubiquitous in the effects world.

Nik mentioned that possibility as well.  I don't think that is the case here.  My shipping identified this as 2.1mm and the connector on the end of a Roland 9v fits perfectly and snug.  Whether or not it is a 2.5 or 2.1 I cannot say.

However, with the connector snuggly fitting it still manages to lose contact and needs a push inward from time to time.  I think someting is lose or the contact itself is defective in some way.

Where would I order a replacement part for it.  Frankly, I have no idea where to shop or what to call it...techno dummy here.

I can't see the need to get a very small inexpensive part all the way from Malaysia so I'd like to order here in the states.  I don't imagine it is too complicated to change it out...is it?
