Hello All Ceriatone Users and Afficionados,

I was searching the new member intro/presentation subforum for starting, but it seems that it doesn't exists at ceriatoneforum.com, or maybe I did not discovered it, sorry  Embarrassed

For the story :

I contacted Nik at Ceriatone there is (already now) one year, asking him numerous questions about the OTS, HRM and derived models, in order to see what was best for my project idea. I had all the technical answers (and more) that I needed from him... Thanks Nik for your prompt and accurate replies !

Yesterday, I finally placed my order for an OTS100 set of boards, plus some additional accessories, that will serve as a basis for my custom-modified project OTS100-like amplifier : the project is designed and on...

This project will mainly include a built-in footswitchable digital reverb, an active and footswitchable FX loop, along with the existing booster and overdrive footswitchable facilities.

I will try to built this amp as a lightweight compact combo as far as possible : toroïdal power transformer, neodymium 12" loudspeaker, aluminium chassis...

Well, you've got the guidelines !

Now I wait the delivery of the parts to go further, and meanwhile I will search the forum for more informations, notably about similar releases to what I am planning to do.

It will take time... So wait and see  Wink !

A+!

Continuation :

The chassis in now ready for wiring :

The fixation of the chassis in the cab is done :

Weight calculation :
- chassis and cab as above, plus back panel weighted at 16.0kg
- Eminence EM12N speaker factory spec'ed at 3.0kg
- tubes, wiring, miscellanous details estimated at 2.0kg
- Mains cord, FSW and its cable estimated at 2.0kg

That is to say a total at circa 23.0kg... We'll see !

Next step : wiring.

Wait and see !  Grin

Wiring is finished  Cool :

The chassis is under measurement tests (and debugging  Huh?) :

With used-less-than-average tube set, the power output stage reaches 75W RMS clean tone in Full mode (see scope waveform at left), 35W RMS in Half mode and 1W RMS in Home mode.
Measurements are made under 400Hz sine wave, at the onset of clipping, on a 8 ohms resistive load. That's a good start...  Grin

Wait and See...
