Just finished an HRM.
Wallvoltage is about 230V over here and I used the 220V tap on the PT, so my filament voltage is 6.4V with all tubes installed.
Plate voltage on the 6L6s is about 470V.
I think that is a bit higher than values I read on this forum...

Can this be a problem? The amp has a lot more highs than on the videos I see on youtube, can this be caused by the (overall) higher voltages in the amp?
I am afraid that if I switch to the 240V tap on the PT, my filament voltage will drop to 6.1V which is very low. I always build by the rule that filament voltage should not be lower than 6.3V.

Any suggestions for smoothing out the highs?

Hi Franc, Jij hier ook? (Vernet 2x12BB cab owner)

I 've spent lots of hours trying things out;

* filament wires; do it the fender way.
* Make sure plate and cathode wires stay away from filament wires.
* In original dumble's the cathode and plate (from pin 3, 6 and 8 at v1 and v2) are running parralel when going to the board(touching each other), this is smoothing out the highs.
