Looks cool! I like the front grill as well - good for ventilation.

Cheers

ol man sduck, that's very cool. Yeah, the grill is killer. I bet you can see those valves glowing in there when it's dark. I'm still tweaking at my HRM 50, but was at the frabric store the other day looking at some tolex. I need to get it boxed up soon!

Thanks guys! I stole the grill idea from a Vernet version of these amps - see - and got the grill and the other hardware from Reliable Hardware - http://www.reliablehardware.com/ .

I just completed my 3rd build and it sounds just like the 1st Two, "Awesome". I decided on a snake skin Tolex to be a bit daring and different and I think I succeeded but all of you can be the judge of that.

Also, I am contemplating building the C-lator to compliment this and other builds. I find that with the OTS the sparkling highs disappear when I use the loop but truly a great amp.

Which is why you may have to add a 47p-68p (I have 100p om my Bluesmaster, clean master) in order to get enough high end with a dumblelator. However, your tone will be rewarded with nice 3D quality and a bit of compression.  Cool

so are you talking about a 68pf on the master volume of the amp. The ots already has that or are you talking about somewhere else,

I think that all overtones look nice. Yes I did make the head cab myself, it's a bit of a hobby making head cabs and speaker cabs. Some are timber and some are tolex and some are the best of both worlds but the snakeskin looks the part, well at least in my opinion but I am bias, lol

Peter, that head is super nice. I like the tolexed trim piece around the front controls. Great look

And....

Todd, yours looks great too. Looks like perfect fit and finish. Love the blonde tolex. Tenguitars looks like they do great work.

I have yet to box mine up. Basically, my intention is to build my own, so I just need to get my butt in gear. I'm doing a bit of remodeling on our house and the idea of starting another project is causing a bit of procrastination.

I'm about to pull the trigger on 2X12 cabinet from Avatar. No speakers, just cabinet. I think I'm gonna load it with WGS ET65's. Or one ET65 & something else to pair. You know everyone claims that Vintage 30's are not a good match for D-style amps, and I agree to a point. But that's all I have to play through right now and I'm able to tame it and get a nice sound. Sometimes I think it paired with a G12-65 type speaker would be a good match. If all a person wants is good cleans out of the OTS than I would say no to V30's, but if you like get it really driving then V30's sure do have a certain way about them. Honestly, I'm still up in the air about the whole speaker thing.

Basically my budget is super tight. Like I have no budget. I need to sell something to make it all happen.

Hey Soundperf
My wife is ready to kill me if I get anymore gear Shocked
I have only yet tried my OTS through 1 WGS ET-65 so far in my cannabilized Bass cab, and it sounds great. Tenguitars is 1 man named Henry who is able to get great deals on cabs, The head cab he sent me is really nice and in a couple weeks he will be sending me a Two R*ck style 2x12 cab at a price that beats Avatars lowest grade cab. I would suggest contacting Henry Soundperf to see if hes got any more good deals, I know he has a couple TR style head cabs left in Fender brown. I got the TR style because of the 2 holes in the back allow access to the LNFB switch. He is a great guy to deal with and very honest. He didnt want to ship my head cab because he didnt think the grill pattern was perfect. I had him ship it anyways and still cant see what he was worried about.
Anyways I have no affilliation but can say he is a great guy to deal with.
OH yeah he shipped my cab on wed and I got it on friday also, very fast
