Hi

Is it possible to fit an Overtone in a combo cabinet (1x12 inch speaker)?
Any suggestions that might work?

I can't see a problem. I'm intending to do so myself as soon as the kit arrives. As far as I can see, you'll just need to make the sides longer and fix some battening to allow for the mounting of a baffle board. The Grille cloth will be fixed to a lightweight ply frame and will be a loose fit on top of the baffle board held in place by velcro pads just like most Fender amps.

Now what about speaker selection? Im thinking either G12-65 or a G1230H Heritage. Unable to decide. Would appreciate comments and experiences.

The G12H30 Heritage is only 30 watts. Not a good choice for a 1x12 cabinet, as the OvertoneĀ“s a 50 watt amp.

I'm building a combo 1x12" cab.
Actually I'm done, just need to do a tolex and grill job and that's it.

I'm using G12-65.

Don't know...

Maybe this will help you. This is my plan for the cabinet.

I don't know.... I don't bother building combo's anymore.  Convenience comes at a huge compromise in tone.  Combos just sound way too open and lifeless to me compared to a semi closed back cab and head.  My D'lite is in an oversized 1x12 combo and while it sounds great it fails in comparison to plugging the chassis into a 1x12 separate cab.  Just MHO.

The Suhr Badger combo cab design does look like a reasonable alternative though.

Thanks for posting that design!!

I think the Suhr won't work cause it's not "upside down" (Tubes under the controls)

I wonder if this fits:

No, I was just saying "if" I were building a good sounding combo that design would be something to consider.  Of course it won't work "as is".

I don't think it will.

OT chassis dimensions are
488mm (and add at least 4mm for side screws)
208mm (that's with back and face plates)
64mm

I think your best chance is, to ask them if the have something which can fit that and if not, can they do it for you.
 Huh?
