My Greenback cab and speaker has arrived to here's a quick sample. Its agressive and responsive compared to the G12-65. I like it. Its brand new so needs to break in.

cheers,

Hi Marin,

Gotta ask, is the OD in the clip pure OTS? Best tone I've heard yet from the amp...

How are the cleans with the Greenback?

Cheers

Nice Marin,

Ive been playing my Overtone through the Greenbacks in my Marshall Bluesbreaker while Im in the process of building a speaker cab for the Overtone. I found that they were great for 'aggressive' overdrive sounds but a little to thin and harsh for cleans. Was this your experience too?

Greenback with the deep switch ON does not sound thin or harsh to me. Even without the deep switch it still sounds good to me, very Fendery if I'm allowed to say that.

Marin which one do you like best G12-65 or Greenback?

For me the best sound happens when both are used at the same time.

Thanks. I like it too.

I don't really know how it sounds with the cleans since I haven't tried it yet! Smiley

The cab got damaged during tranport so I am sending it back to have it fixed.

Its packed in a box at the moment so I can't try it.

I suspect that it would have more highs and less bass compared to a G12-65.

However, there is a nice low-volume break-up which the G12-65 doesn't have.

Don't know....I haven't tried the Greenback long enough and it still hasn't broken in. The G12-65 has more bass and rolled off highs so it all depends on the particular tone you might be going for at a particular moment.

The G12-65 is stylish and smooth.

The Greenback is live and "dirty".

I was thinking that too. A 2x12 with both speakers in it.
