Title: OTS 50W (2013 Layout) - Sounds Anemic with Strat - Suggestions Please? Post by: jam-mill on December 14, 2014, 05:48:04 AM ' Been playing my OTS 50W for over 10 months now and no matter how I set the tone controls the amp sounds anemic.
Or, it gets muddy or 'flubby' with the overdrive on while using the neck pickup. The only mods to the amp are the LNFB on V2, which is 10M-10M-0.05u-10M-10M instead of the 22M-0.05u-22M combination and a 250KA pot for the OD level. The cabinet is an open-back (large oval port) 1x12 that measures 24” x 19.75” x 11.75" and has an old JBL E130. The strat has Lindy Fralin Blues Special pickups. Can someone please make suggestions to tighten up the bass and generally thicken up the sound? Thank-You, -jack |
