Title: OD trim pot adjustment Post by: docmh on November 21, 2008, 06:49:45 AM Just got my Overtone Special and am a little confused on the OT trim pot even after searching the forum. I assume the adjustment is made on the little arrow side of the pot. Looking at the pot from the back of the amp it is on the left side of the pot. Is this correct. One post I read said it's looking at the pot from the FET board toward the transformer, but I think it's the other way around. What's right.
Thanks Title: Re: OD trim pot adjustment Post by: hywelg on November 21, 2008, 09:14:20 AM Seem to think that was right. Your screwdriver goes in the only way it can if its normal length and you read the clock position from the other side. ITs easy to check tho. USe a modded chopstick to twiddle it whilst its on. FINGERS OUT!!
Title: Re: OD trim pot adjustment Post by: docmh on November 22, 2008, 09:24:03 AM Thanks, you're right. When I worked with little potentiometers before,
the arrow side would increase as you turned it clockwise. This pot works the other way. It decreases when you turn it clockwise. So looking at the pot from the chassis end toward the transformer is the right way. |
