When I bought my OTS50 from Nik I decided to forego the footswitch and just throw one together here.  Now, I just got through buying a second plug that doesn't fit the socket on the OTS and it's starting to piss me off.  Din plugs are plentiful but the 5 pin skinny version is proving elusive.  Can someone throw me a bone as to where I can get a 5 pin din with the skinny pins?

They are the same size as a Midi Plug

Change the whole lot for a 5 pin XLR. Makes much more sense. I did it at build time on mine. However you can rewire the whole thing for just a stereo jack and it'll still work (the LED for the PAB is ON when PAB is OFF though) Just search through Pickmasters posts to find the wiring layout.

Strange, I just plugged my "regular" keyboard midi cable in with no problem. Are you sure you're plugging it in correctly? Also, you're using a male connector?

On old OTSs 5 pin plugs are aligned on different angle, 240* If I’m not wrong.
On newer ones they are on 180*.

Haha....yes, this OTS is definitely an old one....#2 or #3 ....lol.  I'm just going to replace the socket with something else.....probably xlr.   Thanks.

Maybe they have changed the plugs since I bought my amp, because I am switching the channels on my amp via patches using my TC Electronic G Major's relays.
All I used was an old midi cable and cut one end off and soldered a 1/4" RTS plug to go into the back of the G Major.

I suggest you pick up a Neutrix set screw style 5 pin male DIN plug (check out Neutrix's website).  You can get this online just about anywhere - Mouser Electronics for example.   As for me, I need to put a disconnect between the footswitch and cable so I can drop an entire pedalboard on the floor and bring everything to it in a snake.  I solved the problem with a mating pair of 5 conductor XLR connectors that I put inline just outside of the foot switch.     If you're comfortable opening up the amp, I'd suggest making an extension cord and going 5 pin XLR all the way from amp to footswitch. 

Indeed, we're using Neutrik since the last 3-4 years on all the OTS amps.

They're surprisingly very economical, esp in the above 1000 pcs range! I thought that was strange, till I find out the factory's in China.

Stranger thing is, the non branded chinese ones, they're not as good as the neutriks. So I guess, it doesnt matter where it's made - if the effort is to make good ones, they'd become good :)

The earlier ones did have 240 (or was it 270) pinout, but we have changed that to be more in line with what other gadgets use.

I am looking at XLRs. Again, neutrik ones aren't so bad, price wise, in qty. When we started out making OTS back in 2007 or so, XLRs were very pricey, and not many choices back then.
