Any ideas what the changes are? There are only two changes in the august version compared to the may version!! A: decreased snubbercaps on V2 from 390pf in may to 330 pf in august B: decreased resistor value in the PSU the 3K9/2W has been reduced to 3K3/2W increasing PWR line plate voltages. No big changes - and not important changes as well - Check the tweaks in the forum to see some of the important mods. Ad A) The lower snubber values on V2 gives more highs, when engaging the OD Ad B) The lower resistor in the PSU gives more preamp anode voltages Whether this is good or bad depends on preamp tubes used, taste etc.. its all very subjective |
