Hi, I am a newbie. I should be getting my overtone on monday. I have a 1x15 cab that I use and was wondering since it seems like most people here are using 1x12 or 2x12, if anybody uses other size cabs with their overtones? thanks, and I enjoy this forum very much.Mike

Ive tried two different cabs to date. 1x12 open back & 2x12 closed back.
My personal preference was for the open back as it gave a noticably bigger sound. The closed back has a very directional sound and lost some of the ambience and subtle tone characters of this wonderful amp.
Ive played Fender combo amps for years and I`m used to the sound of an open back cab, which i feel also suits this amp.
You should consider trying both for yourself.

Best thing to do is just try it out for yourself. If you can get to a shop with a selection of cabs perhaps take the head with you and try some out.

Open back 2 x 12" seems to be the most popular combination with a head, however there are a lot of combos out there with just the one 12" speaker.

Good luck,

I have bought a cab online with this company (in Europe) http://www.tube-town.net/ttstore/
Very friendly and good service. The cab looks pretty good. It is light and it was fairly cheap. I even got a huge discount on the speakers.
My cab has 2 x G12-65 heritage speakers. It is a closed back cab but you can take out a part of the back panel.
Best of both worlds. No idea what it sounds like cause I haven't got my map yet  Chair Dance
