Okay. So here we go.. i've spent the most part of his year researching what ots amp to get. Emailing with nick. Looking at clips on youtube, thinking. And I eventually fell down to the HRM 50,since the music I love to play. Leans towards robben ford, larry carlton, stretching through more old school chigaco blues, and every other day I get the cravings for some god old southern rock. Sometimes switching a little into gary moore territory.. i'm not trying to copy the tones from all these guitarists dead on. But I'd like to have one main amp that could get me into the respective ballparks tonally. So with nik'shelp i ended up with the HRM 50 with half power switch and hrm bypass switch to get the most veratility.. i know it's a bit far fetched to think that one amp could do it all.. But i really got a good feeling about this amp.. I'm still waiting for the speaker, celestion G12/65. And have a couple of nights left on the combo cabinet I'm building. So I'm still in the "pre-testing mode". But what i essentially need is a good clean channel and a good od channel. So I guess I'll be fine based on the reviews i've read Smiley will try to upload pics as i move along

I play blues & my two Ceriatones are the BEST! They do everything from traditional to rock blues. Congratulations on your new amp.

Just got home from the hospital. I cut a 3 cm long and 4 mm deep slash along my fretting hand ringfinger. Resulting in 4 stitches and about a week away from my guitar. Just as I was finishing my cabinet. And I got word that my speaker arrived at the local post office today. But as I was stuck at the hospital. I didn't get time to pick it up today.. Well, I'l probably get the assembly done within the weekend. But I still have to wait fo the hand to heal.. Boring!!!

Just got the amp finished. And have had some time to try it out.. Initial sounds seem promising.. I realize there is a breaking in period. And looking forward to getting this thing up to live volumes:) but there's one problem... It seems that the middle and bass potensiometers don't work right.. There is no audiable change when i turn them. PAB off.. The mid boost is quite pronounced when i flip the switch. Bright and bass boost less pronounced. But definitly present. I kind of expected the mid and bass pots to have the same sweeprange as the treble does. Also. When i turn down the treble all the way the amp goes quiet. Regardless of the position of the mid and bass. Is this normal?

Doesn't sound right. Contact Nik - there may be some kind of setting that's wrong, or perhaps something got damaged in shipping.

I've contacted nick. And sent him some photos.. But for once ue's been more than 8 hours to answer:p i guess he's checking with the layout and so forth. I did so myself, but my untrained eye could not spot any mistake. But. Onthe other hand. I've been using my fender mustang floor unit. In the loop. And it works great. I've been using it to attenuate the signal, to be able ro crank the preamp section. And for delay. Reverb and wah... And i use it for the tuning. And rhe volume pedal option. Together with some EQing through the multi fx pedal.. I get some really usable tones:) but i would like to get the mid snd bass issue sorted out anyway.. But.. Hail to the amp.. I think I hit spot on:) i cant think of any scenario where nik doesent fix this. Regardinghis customet service so far... I still think nik is a genious. And when i get this amp firing on all cylinders.. Oh behold!!!
