Title: Mini OTS footswitch cable adapter Post by: BurntGerbil on April 04, 2016, 06:46:30 AM Hello all!
I have had the OTS Lunchbox since they first came out. It's kind of turned into my go-to, all-purpose amp with a basic little pedal board and a 1x12. Lately I've been wishing that I could fit the footswitch on the board, but I have no way of making room for it. Also, I would like the option to have a longer cable. I would like to be able to use a mini Vox-style, 2-button footswitch with the OTS. I could really even get away with just a 1-button switch for the clean/dirty. I have found (what I think to be) 5-pin DIN-to-TRS converter cables, but I've seen a few sites that claim that it's not a standard 5-pin. Is there anything I could buy to make this work? If not, is it possible to make something (or, in my case, ask my much techy-er friend to make it for me)? Thank you. Look at the schematics at the ceriatone-website. The 5 pins in the original-plug are just ground, OD, Boost, OD-LED and Boost-LED (ground is in the middle). If you want to switch OD/clean just connect/disconnect the OD- and groundpin. Cut the connector of your Vox-footswitch and solder the cable to a 5pin-Midiplug. That's all. Good luck Andreas |
