Oh man, I can't wait!  Gonna be a long couple of months waiting . . . and waiting.

I opted for the 100w with the 1/2 power switch.  Have heard that the extra power really makes the amp have more girth, even with the 1/2 power switch engaged.  I also ordered both the new Smartulator AND the Kleinulator so I can A/B them and see which I like more.  Gonna get a custom cab that has a built-in rack slot for the Smart, as that is the only rack unit I have or plan on having.  Just can't wait, though!  Argh!  haha.

I am already running the 36w TMB from Nik.  I love it.  My 2x12 cab is lined up with an EVM 12L and an EVM 12S.  I got a cool wiring circuit that allows me to run them at 4 ohms or 16 ohms or individually at 8 ohms each.  I am stoked.

Congrats!  I'm in line too; I'm waiting on my OTS HRM and C-Lator/Smartulator.  This will be my first rack setup too with the C-lator.

Congrats!  I just ordered a new OTS 50 watt head with the 1/2 power switch and the OD trim pot on the back panel.  I've owned an S&M and an OTS Combo and people love the sound, so I've ended up selling them to friends that don't want to wait 10 weeks to get one.  What's the basic tone difference of the OTS compared to the HRM model?  I never really had that great of a grasp of the subtle differences between the models until I got the S&M and compared it to my OTS combo, and there was quite a bit of difference, though the tones were basically same same.  I just need the head now though to use with my favorite cabinet, a Bogner Metropolis Duende.

I'm not sure if you're going to see this but I just received my 100W HRM BLUESMASTER w/ 1/2 power switch as well  Chair Dance .. and I wanted to see which one you liked out of the 2 or if someone would recommend the C-later as well.

Thanks! Grin

Enjoy your new amp! I'm currently using a Bluesmaster 100 with 1/2 power switch and a Kleinulator through a 1x12 EVM12L - fantastic really versatile amp and pedals work really well with the Klein Smiley

Dboy,

Congrats on your new amp.  A few recommendations from my end:

I replaced all the preamp tubes with Tung-Sols from KCANOS tubes.  Much better to my ears.  I'm currently running one of his Almost NOS RCAs in the V2 and that sounds great.

I replaced the power tubes with TAD 6L6-GCs.  Also better.

I have both the Klein and the C-lator.  I prefer the C-lator, but I've had some issues with it.  It'll be going into the shop in January, so glad I have the Klein as a backup.  The C-lator just gives a better sound, IMO.  Can't really describe it.

Running it through a 2x12 with an EVM-12L and EVM-12S.  GREAT combo there.

Hardly ever run it in half power mode, so I can't really comment on it.

I agree with citizen that the amp is great for pedals, though I feel you really need a loop buffer for modulation-type boxes.

Wow! Sweet! Thanks rane. I just got mine.. Had some trouble starting it up (preamp tubes werent fully connected)  But now that its working, its awesome!

I'll give those tubes a shot. Tubes aren't priority right now because i really need reverb.  I'm contemplating on the C-lator and a Sole Mate (or other reverb) mix or just getting the FUCHS Verbrator?? IDK. Let me know what was wrong on ur C-lator so maybe if the same happens to me i'll know what to do! Cheesy

I'm running through a 2x12 with G12-65's and they sound wonderful! Planning to grab a Celestion Gold to mix with the G12-65 and save the other 65 for a 1x12 cab if i'm playing somewhere small.

Seriously though in the full power mode, even at low volumes, i achieve my tone that i need for the most part. This amp has heavy bottom end! Cheesy Love it!

My future plans are to have all my "Drive, Boost, Tuner" needs at my feet via a Pedaltrain Mini/Nano.. and have reverb/delays and whatnot in the loop..

My question is: Is there any rack fx that has a footswitch and tap tempo? if there is, let me know!

TY! AND HAPPY NEW YEARS TO EVERYONE! BYE BYE 2010  Cry twas a great year

On my TC G-Major, and I guess on any other modern (MIDI) rack fx, you can assign a CC to the tap tempo so you can control it with any MIDI controler. TC had a compact controller called the G-minor, a round 3 button midi controller mith a dual mode giving you 3 freely assignable functions on three buttons in addition to pgm up and down but it's out of production now.

Enjoy your new amp, it's a great beats!

Cheers
