I trying to figure this thing out.   When I flip the deep switch up on the clean channel, the volume jumps up a bunch and when I flip the jazz switch to rock, the clean channel is also much louder but with both switches in the down position, the clean channel sounds great but you have to turn the volume and master way up to to get enough volume happening.   Also the boost switch only works when the deep switch is in the up position.  Is this normal?

Mine arrived yesterday (it has the latest mods) and I had the same thoughts on the clean channel.  Even with vol and master on 7 the cleans are not really very loud.  On a 50w fender, those settings would be painfully loud. I wonder if it's as a result of the new mods??  Does any one know if the value of the two big (filter?) caps will affect the volume?  The layout says 100uF 450V, but the ones in mine are 200uF 300V.

Mind you, I haven't maxed out the master yet as I haven't tried it with the band yet.

Not sure about the boost and deep swith I will try it out later and see what mine does.

I have noticed the volume boost when flicking to the deep switch. Mine is stock (old stock) with no mods. With the master above about 4 though the amp is bloody loud.

On mine, unless the deep switch is in the up position, the boost on the pedal doesn't work. Is this correct???

I forgot to solder two wires on the deep switch.  Works great now and sounds even better. That's what I get for building it in 12 hours. Great amp.

Great, that your amp i working. I have just put my amp together, but is waiting for the choke and pt from hammond mfg. Which wires did you forget??

Ok, I have just assembled mine and was having troubles when I flicked the OD switch. I had forgotten to connect the potentiometer ground bar to ground, but the switches were connected rightly.
