Title: HRM clip! ;) Post by: marinblues on September 13, 2008, 02:03:01 PM I've replaced the old clip (which was too gainy and badly recorded) with a new one:

When you get a chance, could you tonally compare the HRM to the non-HRM? Thanks much! Title: Re: HRM clip! ;) Post by: Jimmyd on September 13, 2008, 04:00:49 PM Hi Marin, When you get a chance, could you tonally compare the HRM to the non-HRM? Thanks much! Marin would tell you, "The OD is smoother and thicker than before. The cleans are as buttery are before." I say Marin needs a couple of weeks with the amp to really sort it out. I want to see the layout and get an understanding of this amps "pedigree" or lineage. What is it cloned after i.e. specific number Dumble. Many questions have I... jim Title: Re: HRM clip! ;) Post by: Dumbleseeker on September 13, 2008, 04:34:55 PM Martin,
Have you done any mods or is it stock from Nik? Title: Re: HRM clip! ;) Post by: marinblues on September 13, 2008, 05:02:46 PM I have only played for an hour or so.
I'll make some more clips. The amp is 100% stock. This was recording with the G12-65. It actually sounds very articulate with my new Greenback speaker. I do a clip with that one next. M. Title: Re: HRM clip! ;) Post by: mcinku on September 13, 2008, 05:27:04 PM Man those two amps together look so cool. You are one lucky man. ;)
Marin one request...you don't have to do it right away If you could record both amps, same guitar, same speaker, similar voicing/gain in one clip. Something like A/B thing. This would really give us a fair chance to see the difference between non HRM and HRM. ...and of course, we want a full blown review. ;D ;) Title: Re: HRM clip! ;) Post by: marinblues on September 14, 2008, 11:12:06 AM Man those two amps together look so cool. So if this HRM can make Strat sing like Strat too, than it's a winner. ;) Lucky ba***rd. ;) Title: Re: HRM clip! ;) Post by: needmoreguitars on September 22, 2008, 02:57:20 PM Marin, you are a lucky fella.
Since the HRM is supposed to be a bit more for the "rock" crowd, could you appease us with some classic rock type riffs, just for fun? I'd like to hear what the amp can do beyond the typical Robben/Larry genre. VH, Zep, Cream....rip it up brother. ;D Title: Re: HRM clip! ;) Post by: AdrianJ on September 23, 2008, 03:22:13 PM Marin, you are a lucky fella. Title: Re: HRM clip! ;) Post by: marinblues on September 23, 2008, 09:57:41 PM I would need a V30 speaker to do a rock riff properly! ;)
