Title: HRM Bluesmaster Schematic anyone?
Post by: beautifulbones on May 26, 2010, 12:07:39 PM
My amp tech is looking for one to do some mods on mine.  Does anyone have a schematic?

Thanks but thats the layout, not the true schematic .. we're looking for the schematic ..

If your guy can't do mods with that amazingly complete layout you should find someone else. Anyone who's worked on amps can easily see anything they need on the layout.

In fact im sure the tech asked for the schematics because he didnt know the layout was available. Nik does not use schematics so if you want one youre going to need to draw one. Which IMO is pointless because layouts show the actual amp in detail which makes modding much easier

actually my tech is fantastic and is a professional .. I thought I asked a simple question really and no reason for the comments about my tech .. I have asked my tech to compare schematics from another amp to my HRM BM and he asked me to help find a schematic .. Someone provided one for my OTS and it was a huge help .. sooooo I'll ask again, does anyone have a schematic of the HRM Bluesmaster?

I personally prefer having a schematic  too, especially when comparing circuits.
It's in the mail...

I'm pretty sure he has them, but just doesn't post them.
I don't know why, as would be of benefit to anyone trying to build one of his kits.

Nik claims that if youre not skilled enough to build the amp with the layout then you should probably try an easier kit.

Yes Schematics are great for following the circuit more easily but when building an amp it's easier with a layout because you can see exactly where everything should go on the board and chassis etc. It's also easier to share mods when they are on the layout

I always work with both schematic and layout. With a schematic it's easy to check if the wiring is correct and understand/ calculate in case you want to debug or mod.

Attached is a schematic; some values are probably different from Ceriatone. Also the relay for OD switching might be a little different.

Yes a layout for the build - but, still, why not both?
However, I don't agree that layouts are good for mods as then it seems much harder to comprehend what the changes really are and what they are doing.

And where is the attachment button?
None of the icons I see seem to be for attachments.
