Title: HRM-50 to EL34 Post by: lions den on May 26, 2011, 05:53:34 PM So I have an HRM-50 OTS built by Nik and team. Have read a few posts stating that you can directly drop in EL34's and replace the stock 6L6's. Just want to confirm that is true, swap out tubes, simple bias changes, and then you're good to go?
thanks, sean Title: Re: HRM-50 to EL34 Post by: 212Mavguy on May 27, 2011, 03:34:58 AM Hi Sean,
Yes, no prob. I'm currently running vintage Siemens el34's in mine. During a long thread of notes between Nik and I during the order process I learned that the standard HRM circuit power section is el34 friendly. Me likey. Thanks, Sean Title: Re: HRM-50 to EL34 Post by: MaxBoogie on May 31, 2011, 03:11:15 PM Remember that you're still going to want to re-bias with the new tubes...
