Well, I opened my marshall 1936 cabinet and instead of the celestion g12t75 speakers the cab has celestion g12H100's in it. I wonder why the tone didn't sound spikey? But it still a little boomy. Anybody use these speakers. Maybe I should put these in my open back cabinet.
Whadya think guys

Hey thought id respond (cause no one else is). I did away with celestions once I got into D style amps, Ceriatone and two rock.

Now using a two rock 2X12 with the mismatched wgs and eminence and a single 12 with an eminence in that as well.

I find that these provide the right amount of warmth wothout the breakup of a celestion or the clinical sound of an ev.

My 2c.

I was seriously thinking of wgs, an invader with a reaper hp. Then I saw some bad reviews on them, that they're not very well made, & falling apart?Huh??

I just recently acquired a pair of vintage Altec 417-C's and stuck them in a 2/12 open back, sensational sound playing out.  Full, warm, articulate, and very efficient driven by my 50w HRM/C-lator.  They are right up there with my JBL g125's, g135's, and reconed for guitar D123's as faves for the D-clones.
