Title: Front panel cloth replacement Post by: citizen on April 08, 2011, 02:37:17 PM Any tips on replacing the standard black covered panel on the front of an OTS head? I've managed to score some Vox cloth and just wondered how difficult a job this would be for a complete novice. I guess I'm going to need staples but does anyone know how the standard factory built panel is affixed? Had a quick look with a torch last night but its difficult to see without removing the chassis.
I'd just like to have an idea of what's involved for a good finish before I actually remove the innards... Just take the existing tolex that's on the front panel, take the cloth you want to replace it with, stretch it, make sure its straight, then staple it on.

I've got an old EVM12L in it and use it open back.
