Just wanted to wake up the discussion around this topic. I remain confused about the way the relays are configured. The OD relay seems to default to the OD mode. In other words, when the relay is not closed, the amp is in OD mode. Anyone else notice this? do we know why this is?
With no footswitch connected, the OD is on when the rear panel switch is down.
I am looking into triggering a loop switcher based on the mode the amp is in and it seems like life would be easier if closing both relays activated their respective functions.
Has anyone rewired the relays to behave this way?
Also like to hear from anyone who is using the amp's internal switching (or just the foot switch) to control other things?
Thanks in advance!
Stan

My impression has been that Nik wired it that way to the coil is not energized for OD, incase any noise should be transmitted from the relay's coil.

Real Dumble foot switches require the OD and PAB relays to be hooked up so that the relay coil is energized when in the OD or PAB mode. I have wired my amp that way.

Here is a drawing I did showing how the OD relay is wired on a real 1980s vintage ODS. This is the way I have mine wired and it is different from the Ceriatone.

Thanks ic racer.
So you just physically moved the wires on the "stock" OD relay to look like this drawing? (this is looking down at the relay from the top)?
Then you re-wired the toggles and the foot switch as well?
Any issues?
