Guys, I would like to ask you about my OTS Foot switch.

The operation of my OTS foot switch is as follows :

Red light is on - sound is clean.
Red light is off - sound is overdrived.
Green light is on - sound is boosted.
Green light is off - sound is non boosted.

Also opeartion of Manual/Pedal switch when I don't join by pedal is as follows :

overdrive manual position - sound is clean.
overdrive pedal position - sound is overdrived.
preamp boost manual position - sound is boosted.
preamp boost pedal position - sound is non boost.

Are these operation normal? Huh?
Please let me know.

OK from memory after a late night gig.  :-)
Green light is off - sound is non boosted and normal, tone controls engaged
Green light is on - sound is boosted as preamp is not engaged
Red light is off - sound is clean. (assuming green light is also off)
Red light is on - sound is overdriven.
Both lights on - screaming lead tone

Jimmyd, thank you for reply.

In my foot switch, Red light is off - sound is overdriven Sad
My overdrive foot switch seems to function adversely.

Please let me know if you know a cause and a solution?

Thanks

I'm having the same problems in relation to rewiring a footswitch for 3 core cable operation as per Pickmasters schematic. Yours does seem to be operating incorrectly tho'. With footswitch connected

O/D LED ON= o/d channel selected
PAB LEd ON= PAB selected

The operation of your switches with no pedal connected is correct.

Just check your wiring to the foot switch jacks, can't remember what I did when I changed the jack style on the foot switch but I got it wrong.
I used a multi meter traced them and tried different combinations till it worked.
The foot switch is wired in a weird way.

There are 5 wires, 2 for power, 2 for switching and common.

If you get one of these out the switch will do what you describe.

Thanks Guys,

I found two mistakes and was able to solve those problems ! Chair Dance
I found my DIN socket in back panel is upside down. Then I changed and wired it again.

I thought that the problem was settled in this and I switched on my OTS ...

But

green light on - clean sound
green light off - OD sound
red light on - boosted
red light off - non boosted

I opened the footswitch, and replaced Brown-wire with Yellow-wire from DIN cable to tarminal.

Thus it was settled entirely.
