Title: Foot switch button replacement Post by: poipounder57 on February 23, 2011, 02:36:10 AM Hi...it's been awhile since my last post...been playing my OTS ;D I think I stepped the button to hard...you know how it get's in the heat of the moment ;D the climax of the solo ;D
Has anyone replaced the footswitch button with a 3PDT Footswitch ? Does it wire up the same way? Thanks!!! Title: Re: Foot switch button replacement Post by: bobgoblin on February 23, 2011, 03:57:30 AM If the issue is that the amp is not switching channels when you step on the footswitch, I had a similar issue a few months ago. Turned out the ground wire had become disconnected. Quick fix with a soldering iron.

The boost button is broken...it doesn't return to the ready position. I need to replace it with a new switch. Ill try Radio Shack tomorrow...they may have a replacement switch.
My OTS has been my #1 amp since day one...it's a sweet amp!!! The footswitch buttons have been stomp on a few times ;D Title: Re: Foot switch button replacement Post by: jimbo on February 25, 2011, 01:15:18 AM I'd be getting a pair of these bad boys, solid as a rock, and much nicer feel than the ceriatone supplied ones. (less 'crunchy')

Title: Re: Foot switch button replacement Post by: poipounder57 on February 25, 2011, 01:57:40 AM Thanks Jimbo!!! Yes...the 3PDT's are great switches. I'm not much of a electronic wiz...so I need a little help in the wiring dept. The footswitch button on the OTS has 6 connection points and the 3PDT has 9. I need to know where the wires go on the 3PDT.
Could you post or send me a wiring diagram? Thanks!!! Write on a piece of paper which wires went where. You only use the 6 lugs on the 3pdt switch. If your looking @ the bottom use the 3 center and the 3 left poles. The switch is the right way when the poles are horizontal.
