quick question 

can someone tell lme what the three internal pots on the hrm internal board do
and how they interact with the front tone controls as there seems to be so
many ways to set this amp up any advice  appreciated

Three of the trimpots are used for treble middle and bass on the OD channel. there should be three other trimpots like on the non-HRM one is the OD trimpot, the other is the phase inverter bias and the last is the FET(i believe its not on the HRM)

      250k, 1meg ,20k  and are they only on when PAB
      is on ?? thanks

no the PAB bypasses the tonestack on the clean channel for a boost on either channel. looking at most amps im guessing the 250K is treble, 1Meg is bass, and 20K is midrange.

Yeah your guess is correct, go easy with the bass, i find it tends to overpower things if its up past about 9:00
