Title: Electrolytic Caps - Is it bad to dehumidify amps? Post by: captainbackfire on May 19, 2012, 09:54:29 PM I usually put a dehumidifier inside the cab of my amps. Is this bad for any components? WOuld the caps dry out? Also while building my ceriatone OTS, I put a dehumidifier in the chassis and cover it up. I dehumidify because it is damp here and that issue has a lot of adverse effects on some components and also cosmetically. The pots would even get molds sometimes and metal become brittle with humidity.
Thanks, Nico Title: Re: Electrolytic Caps - Is it bad to dehumidify amps? Post by: wyatt on May 19, 2012, 11:48:24 PM No, it won't affect the sealed electrolytic caps.
Perfectly fine to use a dehumidifier. |
