Sure most of you know this amazing and super loud-clean amp that SRV popularized.

Wich of the Overtone amps is the most "Steel String Singer" sounding¿??
What do you think guys??

Thanks and every info will be great.

Xavi.

They will all give you that sound givin your chops. Stevie Ray sounded like Stevie no matter what he played. The SSS was only part of his sound. I can get Steve esque tone w/ my 100w Hrm BM but I think any NON HRM would give you his tones too.

Most of them lows he achieved was Partly due to the 2 Modified Vibroverbs w/ solid state rectifiers, "15 Ev's  and various other circuit mods. There is an article in a tone quest magazine.

SRV had a strange brew of amps, I heard a bootleg of him playing threw just a  Marshall JCM 800 and he still got the same tone.

Well if you ask me, for SRV Fender tone BM HRM is the way to go... but for SSS tone, I think OTS nonHRM is a better choice. After all SSS has a Skyline type tone stack like OTS...

Just so you all know, Nik is working on a Steel String Singer clone.  Getting close I'm told.  But this will be one LOUD amplifier you can bet on it.  Even moreso that the OTS probably.  I have 2 OTS's and a TW Expression. Best amps I've ever owned by FAR!!!!!

none of them. The OTS is a completely different beast. Not that you can't get good SRV tones with them, they are nothing like the SSS
