Title: curious
Post by: dannysgrandpa on October 15, 2011, 05:02:12 AM
I want to get just a bit more out of my OD channel on my OTS 50. I've read about some people removing the "snubber" caps on V2. What does this do? And these are the caps that are across pins 1&3 and 6&8 right?
Thanks, Bill

Yes, those are the right ones. As far as more OD? I understand that they are there to roll off some high end and smooth out the OD. I think I remember reading that gain is increased some without them. I have a HRM which doesn't have them. It does seem to have rawness that I don't hear in the regular OTS. Whether that translates to more OD based on your opinion is hard to say.

Hopefully some others will chime in that have first hand experience.
