Title: converting from 50w to 100w Post by: Lindswood on September 23, 2009, 07:01:43 PM Hello, i got a 50w OTS and i want to convert it to 100w, is it hard to do for a amp tech if i send the plans from a 100w with the amp? or is it just to install 2 extra tubesockets and conecting the to the others? im not at all handy with the tech part so "in a nuttchell" explonation would be nice.

I've been thinking of possibly doing a 2xKT88 100 watter. IMO the KT88 tubes have a much better bass response. It seemed to imply that new hardware is required for the increased voltages.
