Title: contents Post by: djroge1 on April 12, 2009, 11:36:02 PM A couple of questions.
When you receive a kit, does it contain items such as 1. BOM or list of parts 2. Instructions Also, looking at the diagram of the OTS there are two boards on the far left side. I can read some of the values of the caps/resistors, but there are a few that just look black with one stipe. What are those two boards and what are the values of those black one? Am I missing something looking at those? Title: Re: contents Post by: hywelg on April 13, 2009, 10:48:20 AM When you receive a kit, does it contain items such as 1. BOM or list of parts 2. Ahhhh so those boards are rectifier boards? The diodes are being used in place of a recetifier tube which, from what I'm learning is something Dumble did with many (if not most) of his designs. One more question. Is there supplied wire to make any final connections? Thank you for your help. I just finished building a beginner amp to help me understand some basics and I'm looking for the next build. When ordering a kit, you will receive all boards preassembled, and all the extra resistor, capacitors, switches and so on... You will also receive wires, for the whole amp... So depending on which kit you order, the only things missing is tubes and maybe Powertrafos and output trafos ... Look a kit describtion at ceriatone.com :) Title: Re: contents Post by: hywelg on April 13, 2009, 07:52:39 PM You get absolutely everything to finish the kit. If you want to test it and bias it yourself you'll need a multimeter, but thats all.
I added two pots plus some co-ax cable to mount my FET and OD trimmers on the back panel and I changed the footswitch connector to a 5 pin Neutrik XLR. |
