Title: Re: can you adjust the trimmers with the amp on? Post by: Mitch on May 12, 2008, 05:35:15 PM I'd advise against it totally- even with the amp off there's potentially :o :o :o LETHAL VOLTAGES INSIDE :o :o :o - far better to adjust the OD trimmer with the amp turned off & isolated from the mains supply & then flip it over on top of insulating material of some kind so there's no danger of a short- and then try it through speakers. I found around 10 o'clock on the OD trim was plenty for Robben Ford type sustain- the other trimmers I would advise against moving- they're for tube balance etc...
hope this helps. ;D Title: Re: can you adjust the trimmers with the amp on? Post by: fred on May 12, 2008, 05:37:43 PM i amgetting heaps of sustain and feedback its awsome! i have the trimmer at about 2 o'clock if you look at it from the PT side of the amp.

Post by: hywelg on May 12, 2008, 05:46:05 PM No problem with the actual turning the FET and OD trimmers, its what you might also touch thats the problem. I've got mine on the rear panel and it has taken a while to find the right settings, and they vary depending on the pickups. The FET trimmer I've not really messed with since I haven't really found a use for that input yet, apparently a piezo pickup works well thro' it.
