Hey guys, I just got my new Overtone Special FM 50 watt with built in / added C lator
I am struggling to get any good tones out of this amp.
It has all the mods Nik recommended to get those smooth fat horn tones ala Robben Ford, but........
I can't coax that out of my amp. Either to much distortion, to thin, not enough sustain etc.....
I am using the overdrive section as I am not trying to get clean tones.
I have only had it 2 days and I am very discouraged.
I am a veteran player, more years than I like to think about, So tube amps, I am very familiar with.
Can any one help me on settings?Huh?Huh?
Please

Hi JLH
Input Volume 12-2 o'clock - Rock position
Treble 12 o'clock
Mids 3 o'clock
Bass 8 o'clock (Or off I find it very bass heavy)
Level 12 o'clock
Ratio 9 o'clock

Master Vol 10-11 o'clock
Presence 1 o'clock

Overdrive trim control about 9 ( as low as you can go)

C-lator Drive 2
Out - (this is now your master volume)
I use an ES-335 and an Attenuator so I can push the C-lator Out up. Remember to use your ears and have fun.
