Went into my home studio last night to play and found that the power switch on my OTS was in the ON position. Standby was off but no light...no power! Checked all connections, etc and found the fuse blown. Bought new fuses and tried one...it blew. Another try...pop! dead. Changed my power tubes...blew another. HELP!!!!!
I'm supposed to play at church tomorrow and my favorite amp is down. I'm very unhappy! Will use the back up amp, but want to get my OTS up and running again.
Any help is much appreciated.  Sad Cry Huh?

Hi there!

Same thing happened to me. Turns out my power trannie was blown. I purchased OTS few years ago, probably very early version. Later versions had their PT revised and replaced with better design.
I had my PT rebuilt locally.

I am not familiar with these amps, but it all kind of applies.  Just a process of elimination... Pull the power tubes, does the fuse blow? If it does, you need to work your way through the bias and power supply. If you disconnect the secondaries from the PT (make sure the leads are safed off) and you are still blowing fuses......you need a new PT.

I had same thing happening and it was PT...

I measured the taps at that time.... you can find the values I got here...

In my case I had a blown Power tube. Tried a new fuse, switched on the amp and saw the tube light up briefly b4 it lew again. New power tubes problem solved.
