Title: Best place for the Wah Wah pedal? Post by: ajmsrv on June 28, 2012, 03:51:49 AM Any thoughts on whether to put the Wah Wah pedal through front with my distortion pedals or with my delay, univibe & reverb at the front of the chain through my c-lator? i am about to shuffle pedals around.

Most prefer to have there wah in from of OD (and often fuxx), so that the distortions can smooth out thew wah and make it less dominant.
Univibes are favored in from of OD's and amps for similar reasons. Many find them too harsh if they come later. Title: Re: Best place for the Wah Wah pedal? Post by: AdrianJ on June 30, 2012, 11:15:52 AM I always think of it this way:
OD/Dist/Fuzz pedals are aiming to simulate an amp that's being overdriven... ...so I always put the Wah before any of those - in fact the only pedal that ever comes in front of the wah in my setup would be a tuner... However...that is only my opinion. Okay, so perhaps the majority of people would approach it in the same way, doesn't mean it's right for you. Basically, try it in different places and see what works best for you... |
