Title: Are there duty fee's on an amp shipped to US?

I just got a bill from DHL asking for duty fees, about 6o bucks or so, does this sound right?

There was no duty fee for my Overtone I received last December.  Nor was there duty on the DC30 I ordered 18 months ago.  These were both kits that needed assembly.

I wonder if it applies to complete amps assembled?

I rec'd a bill from DHL...duty fees.  I asked Nik about it here's his reply..."As for duty, it seems to be the case, customs duty. It seems more ppl getting them, since we declare higher now for insurance purpose."

My OT was a complete build w/head cab.

consider yourslef lucky, i got A bill for £110 and thats just for the kit 2, no cab.
