Love the cleans of my OTS (still need a bit more brightness tho' thats another story) , and the od channel now its got a 5751 in V2. This gives me much less gain, more of an extension to the clean channel which I really like.

I want to try and get that Marshall crunch sound from a pedal and I've seen the clips on Xotics website and wondered if anyone had tried one with the OTS

I had the impression Jack uses the OTS for most of his demos. Not sure though.

Yeah it seems I'm right

I actually use my EL84 ceriatone and my plexi as much as I use the OTS. I'm actually quite happy with the other 2 ceriatones and a zendrive. Plus, I recently aquired a '64 Vibraverb clone which I really like.

I have a BB, RC Booster, Zendrive, MJM Blues Devil, and a Bad Monkey (seriously) on my board.

The BB boosted with the RC can get pretty nasty in a really good way.

I have BB and RC as well (TS9 is there as well) and like Chris said, you can get huge tone with those pedals. I really like the tone stack on these Xotic pedals, it really helps with shaping your sound.

ChrisL, does this mean you're running the RC into the BB?  I'm very curious how you have the Zen, RC and BB stacked on your board.

I have those pedals as well.  I love the RC, it's been with me for years.  I think I'm currently running the zen into the BB and then the RC is last in the chain.  I don't think this is optimal.  I've been lazy and really should redo the board.

I am using a MI Audio Tube Zone through my OTS and it rocks. I run it on the clean channel for a crunchy Marshall tone. The Tube Zone is a very versatile pedal and does everything from greasy o/d to fully blown Metal grunt. Takes a bit of tweaking to get the tone you want but once you do its bliss!  Grin

I have the RC going into the BB.  The Zen is next but in it's own loop.  The Bad Monkey and Blues Devil are in their own loops, too.  There are a lot of great tones with this lineup.

i was using the RC last in line to drive my signal back to my amp, but it's time to shake up the board a bit.  RC, meet your brother BB.

Just tried a Vers 3 OCD set on low peak with the drive @ 10:00, works very well with the OTS on both channels.

Well, I got one today. Its just what I'm after, a little bit of Marshall crunch when added to the clean channel of the OTS, way better than the Crowther Hot Cake someone I know recommended. I've just put a Red Snapper in front of it, set for very mild O/D and that combo works a treat.

Will get to try it a rehearsal next week so I'l report back when I've had the chance to wind it up a bit, but so far I'm very impressed.

I used one through a different amp and it is a really liquid kind of pedal. I wouldn't say its Marshall like, it just gives you added dirt without colouring your tone at all.
