Title: Amp Tweaking Guide?
Post by: TomWalsh on May 02, 2011, 02:27:57 PM
Hi all, I have had my Bluesmaster 50w for 4 weeks now and its great!  ;D However, i wouldn't mind tweaking it to my own taste  :)

I would like to know how to tweak the values of the components on the Rock/Jazz switch and the tone stack, as I am not sure which parts i need to change to affect the tone in a certain way. Is there a layout somewhere with the components that can be changed and labelled with what increasing/decreasing the value of the component can do to the tone?

I have modified my Fender Blues Junior with the BillM mod parts before, and im confident with a soldering iron and know about the dangers of working on a tube amp  :)

Thanks!
Tom

Edit: I changed the title to a more suitable one

It would be really nice if there was a layout that has component names listed as well ( Snubber, bleed resistors) with description of tonal change depending on values.
Most of this stuff I've learned along the way while researching and building, but 1 layout/document could cover all of this and make things easier for everyone.
