Title: Adding a Deep switch to a non-HRM OTS Post by: pine on May 14, 2009, 05:47:12 PM I have added a deep switch to this amp, and used the FET input hole, taking the FET out of the circuit. Should I add a resistor to simulate the FET board now? If so, what value? Would I connect it across wires X-2 and X-4 in the October, 2008 layout?
Title: Re: Adding a Deep switch to a non-HRM OTS Post by: mcinku on May 15, 2009, 06:13:14 AM As far as I know using FET simulate resistor is not a must... but if you want to be "consistent" with the ODS design, that resistor is used to replace the load, power section have with the FET. I think this resistor will affect you B+ voltages a little...
I've seen 150K or 220K used in there... but you better use at least 2W resistor... that resistor can get very hot Title: Re: Adding a Deep switch to a non-HRM OTS Post by: pine on May 15, 2009, 12:21:33 PM I used the 150K 2W resistor off the FET board and ran it to ground, hopefully that will do the trick.

I did not however completely remove the FET board... just disconnected the wire from the FET input and shrink wrapped it. Is this OK or do I need to add that resistor? If I need to add, can you guys let me know where exactly it goes installed?
