Title: 6 volt tap on different tranny's Post by: pepper on March 08, 2012, 08:53:24 PM Hey guy's,I got my new OTS FM MEM 50 watt coming soon but without the trannys, Ive been searching around and all of the other PT's seem to have a 5 volt tap as opposed to a 6volt. Will the 5 volt work,or should I run it off the heater wiring (6.3) ? I prefer to use Hammond's for this any recommendations, thanks again

I used a Magnetic Components 40-18029 for my 50W FM. The relays pick up at about 8.5-9.0 volts. Using the 5 Volt tap I measured the relay coil voltage at about 11.5-12.0 Volts.
