Renegade Creation is playing here on Wednesday night   Cool
A friend of mine is the guitarist in the support band, so I might get a chance to meet Robben Ford and Mike Landau.

I went to Renegade Creation gig last night, awesome better than I expected, a must see band .

But can you imagine how lucky this guy feels.
1st he enters a competition and wins a PRS
2nd he gets to play a song with Renegade Creation
3rd he gets to play through Robben Fords Dumble

I got to meet the guys after, very down to earth.
I asked Robben why he didn't play through his Dumble and he said "Next time" (It was almost a Meh, sometimes I get bored using it response).
Amps he was using was a Fender Twin and a Super Reverb, fantastic sound he was pulling.

Best $65 I ever spent

I have, but its very distorted.
Typical mobile phone microphone going square wave  Cry
I'll ask one of the sound engineers at work to see if there is anything I can do to make it listenable

Cool thanks. How was his playing?

Btw, how do you like the ET-65s with the HRM? I have a 1x12 HRM combo on the way and am thinking I'll get one. Worth getting the Celestion or EV?

Went to this, was awesome!

My ensemble lecturer was the drummer for the support band =)

I heard that the dumble was actually a clone and belongs to the guy that won the competition...don't know if that's true though. You'd think Robin would use the dumble instead of the super reverb if it belonged to him.

Oh and Hank Marvin was there as well, friend met him.

Hey another fellow West Aussie

Ha! John Meyer is my guitar teacher, talk about 6 degrees of separation.

Maybe that Dumble was a clone, it was sitting on a really weird cab (old Fender Solid State Reverb) but it did have a Dumble Logo and so did the Dumblator (but that doesn't mean it was a real one) but the guy didn't know where the standby switch was, Robben had to show him, So who knows?
Personally I think it didn't sound that great and that's not taking anything away from the guys playing, I thought he did a great job.

Did you see after the encore Robben was walking off stage and he walked straight into the bass guitar and sent it flying. The way it hit the stage I would say it would of done some major damage. He look totally horrified.
