Possible ideas for a new 4x12, what are your ideas?

I know it sucks to lug a 4x12 around, usually there not worth using, this idea would improve the qualities of it and make it worth using.

Mixing speakers would be essential and would further dynamic range and response even more.

 What do you think?

I drew last night, its just a rough draft so far.

 **Note**

 The Ovals are ports
The lines would signify a sealed speaker,
or a separation in the cab,or both.

I like the idea in the top right drawing but maybe reversed with top 2 ported and the bottom 2 sealed.

I tried out the Warehouse Guitar Speakers ET-65's in my Fender Supersonic 2x12 cab which comes with Celestion Vintage 30's.

Even though they are not broken in yet they sound fantastic with this amp, better bottom end and creamy breakup, love them much better sounding than the V30's.

I hope they work as well in the modded 4x12 cab.

BTW: Fender advertise Supersonic cabs as 13ply Baltic Birch Plywood construction, well not really.
The front baffle is, but the rest is particle board.
Buyers beware of false statements.

......Fender advertise Supersonic cabs as 13ply Baltic Birch Plywood construction....the front baffle is, but the rest is particle board.
Buyers beware of false statements.

Most consumer amps (from fender, marshall and peavey and others) and cabinets are build from particle board. The vast majority of players don't know and don't care.

I prefer pine for my cabinets. Pine has both a high pitch and a low pitch when you knock on it as compared to both baltic birch ply and particle board. I guess thats why it has a wider frequency spread.

Respect for the big guy's work....we're at this part of the forum because of HAD's amps.
