Title: Liverpull with powerscaling? Post by: archtop on October 31, 2007, 10:07:35 PM has anyone tried this? how successful was it?
Title: Re: Liverpull with powerscaling? Post by: fierce_carrot on November 02, 2007, 08:04:40 PM I investigated it and decided it wasn't worth the money. These amps are loud, but not insanely loud and the PPIMV will give me enough flexibility to control my tone and my volume quite easily.
I think the power scaling seems to be for those who think they want to get wide open tones at whisper levels and thats not going to work ... Title: Re: Liverpull with powerscaling? Post by: ampkits on November 03, 2007, 05:57:29 PM Hello,
Nice to see you here! :) I couldnt help but chuckle - a true liver pulling machine?! What have I done? LOL! As for PS, we will see. Sorry, I havent had much time to mod for PS. Thanks! I think the PPIMV is a waste of time in these amps and can seriously mess with that TW tone and interaction. The VVR on the other hand doesn't change the circuit at all and is perfect for just taking off a bit of volume when it's just a little too loud. The tone doesn't change at all. As Fierce_Carrot said, the bedroom level quest is a dead-end game IMO but the VVR does sound the best to me, even when really dropping it down a lot...
