Here u guys can find some short clips i made.....
Played with P-90 loaded Reverend Charger,TW Liverpool (with only 2 el84 powertubes......this beast really is LOUD!!!!!) 2x12 Celestion Gold loaded THD Clone Cabinet with no effects any kind....Recorded with Zoom H4 Stereo Recorder...Edited in Macbook with Twisted Editor where i added a touch of reverb in there.....There are many different mic placements and eq's so that's why the sound is so different between the files....!!!!But it's almost impossible to make this amp sound bad....but u really need to push it to make it sing...!!!!!
Hope u get the idea of this beast!!!!!

....And why there is no clean soundfiles.........just because u can't get decent cleans out of this beast....and cleans are for sissys!!!!!! Grin

Any chance you could record the effect of turning the guitar volume down. Does it clean up like an Express does?

This is the first chance i've had to listen to a Liverpool and I am impressed, my next build is going to be something Marshallesque and I was almost ready to order a Plexi 50 until I heard these clips. I so like the tone of my DC-30 that I think 4xEL84 has to be the way to go, so musical and expressive.

Kit or Nik build? Ceraitone trannies or other? Any chance of some pics, Niks pics still show no face-plates, are these now included?

Thanks

Yes,it´s build by Nik and everything is "stock" in it.....i ordered it with half/full powerswitch and a switchable choke....
But to me there's no use for the powerswitch because the effect of it is so lame u can hardly hear it (that's why i use only those 2 centermost powertubes in there)....but the choke really makes a difference soundwise,it sort of smoothes things up quite a bit......

It cleans up ok with my Strat which is loaded with Lindy Fralin's Vintage Hot Pickups with the Lindy's volume kit(resistor&capacitor) but it doesn´t clean up nicely with my Reverend Charger w/P-90(No volume kit)....But i haven't tested Expression so i don't know how well it cleans up when backing off the volume......

But anyway u can´t get that type of clean tones out of it comparing to Marshal Super Lead or Fender type of amps.......

In my opinion it sounds best with P-90's and humbuggers.....singlecoils just doesn't sound that good........Maybe the word "harsh" works with singlecoils.... Embarrassed

This really is a "One trick-a-pony" but it does it extremely well.....but if versatility is what you're after then u propably have to skip this beast.....

Faceplate is ok,with that small tattoo of Asian lizard....(or whatever it is....Cool)

Photos....?
I don't dare to send any photos of my amp coz the headshell is made by me and it might give you wrong impression about the amp......Cool

In other words.....the headshell sucks!!!!!  Grin Grin Grin

On your music sharing page there's a clip called Roots-77. Really nice playing, very fluid with a lovely tone. What guitar and amp was that?

Thanks
