does anybody know if the ceriatone lightning chassis will fit a combo lightning cab from matchless?

It will but the mounting hole pattern is different so if you don't mind drilling a few holes and plugging the matchless ones you're good... Or see if they will make you one without the holes drilled for tge mounting of the chassis..?

As for it being less then the HD version, who cares, the HD isn't in the same class as a lightning.
