Hi Gents,
I'm considering building a JTM45 for my first build. Either that or the 18 TMB EF86.  I own and love my Victoria Bassman but given my blues/rock bent would like to check out the Marshall sound side of things.

I perform some, often in a large 1,000 seat church, and though I'm a blues rocker, I need to be able to play all sorts of stuff.

Before I pull the trigger, do you have any suggestions for additions or mods to the basic kit before I order?  Do you recommend the stock tubes?  Anything I should know before ordering?

I play an ES-335 Custom Fat Neck and a Tele, and use a few pedals for flavor.
I plan to pair this with either an Avatar cab with a Celestion Gold and a Hellatone G12-30H or a Southbay with an H75/H55.

Thanks for your help in advance.
