Title: Help installing choke and OT Post by: Paul G. on May 20, 2014, 03:38:53 AM I acquired a set of transformers and had Nik build me a fully assembled chassis, minus transformer and choke.
Now I can't figure out how to install the choke and 1 screw on the OT without pulling the turret board and messing up the perfect lead dress. I can probably get the screws in with wire and fiddling, but if I do, how do you keep them from spinning as you tighten the locking castle nut? Any help would be appreciated here!! Thx. So, you want to put the screw through under the board and then use a keps nut on the outside of the chassis? Simple, add a lock washer between the screw and chassis. In the end that is exactly what I did. I went to my hardware store and found a shorter M5 screw, a couple of lock washers and matching non-locking nut. It was fiddley fishing the screw in and took a while to get it to fall through. Once it was in place, I gently started the nut. As soon as the nut contacted the bracket the lock washer started to bite and all was well.
