Hi All ...I'm new to the forum.. though I've been a very happy owner of a 50W Plexi 1987 ..(Nik amps are fantastic.. workmanship, tone it's all there.. I'm a very happy little chappy!!) ..I'm about to purchase the JCM 2203 100w MV from Nik.. and am just a little curious as to the output volume differences between the 2203 and the 2204 ..(remember I have the plexi 1987 50 watter ..and that is one loud amp) ..so my question is.. Can I have the half volume mod installed into the 2203 ...and then for all intents and purposes have a switch to change between the 2203 and 2204? ..Some venues are smaller than others... Shocked)
cheers and thanks
Rob

I wonder why no-one has replied Smiley

Don't know if this is still interests you, but it shouldn't be a problem to install a half power switch that lifts the ground of 2 of the 4 EL43s.
You get half power without a problem.

Keep in mind that your term "half volume" is a misnomer.   It is a half "power" switch, and that does not compute to anything near half "volume".    If you are playing a venue that is too small for a 100 watt head, you may not get much relief from 50 watts.   Just something to consider.
Good Luck
