Hi Guys

I want to build a JCM800 2203 as a project.
But I want to know if it can pull off Modern High Gain tones similar style to Stuck Mojo?
I'm a fan of Rich's tone and I know he used JCM800's for his whole career until the newest Stuck Mojo record.
I would definitely want to hot rod the amp in order to get that little bit more saturation in the tone.
I'm planning on getting a 4x12 w/Greenbacks probably a Framus cobra cab. Rich used a pair of 4x12's with Greenbacks as they break up faster then other speakers.

Edes

The 2204 and 2203 were used in countless recordings that included heavy metal acts.

With pedals, you should get wherever you want, really.

When we do clones, it's exactly that as people would probably not be pleased if the 2204 sounds more like a 5150, for example.

As time permits, we will add more and more amps, incl hi gain stuff.

Thanks!

I think Rich Ward uses Splawn amps, that are basically hot rodded Marshall.

here's how you get hot rod tones without some amp hacker turning the guts of your amp into conducive spaghetti.

boss sd-1: volume 2oclock, gain 10oclock and tone to taste in frnt of a 2204 or 2203.
