Hi all. I'm new to this forum. I just ordered a complete 2550, hope to have it by the end of April or so. I'll definitely get up some sound clips.

By the way, I asked Nik a bunch of questions before placing my order. He's a great guy and always responded very quickly. I'm looking forward to buying a plexi from him in the future (if I can get some more cash!).

Nice purchase, I think.  Not a huge Marshall snob, so I do not know all their numbers.  This is the Silver Jub I assume.  Will be nice to hear your opinion of the amp and also some sound clips for sure.  Have you decided on a cabinet/speakers yet?
And we will be expecting several pictures also. Do not come back here without pictures.

Yes, the 2550 was one of the jubilee models, rated at 50 watts. It could be switched from pentode to triode mode for the power tubes, thus brining the output to 25 watts.

I used to have the 2555SL which was Slash's signature amp from Marshall. It was the same thing as the 100 watt 2555 jubilee head with some different cosmetics. Unfortunately, I sold it when I was in school and short on cash. I really regret that sale! But now I get to have a jubilee clone at a great price and better build quality than the original jubilee!

When I get the amp, I'll put some pics up. And of course, some sound clips.

I forgot to answer the speakers question. I have a Carvin 4x12 that has Vintage 30's and G12H30's in an x-pattern. I also have an isolation cabinet with a greenback in it at the moment (I'm still experimenting with that speaker).

Hey I know that everyone is hyped up about this 2550 kit but you guys....Nik has a 2555 kit to it's just not listed yet!! I would much rather have a 2555 than a 2550 any day Grin.
