Hi guys! I'm interested in getting an AFD #35, but there appear to be no clips ANYWHERE, and I'd like to hear it! Can it do good cleans? With the Slash tone on, can I boost it with a TS type pedal or an OCD and get into somewhere like Metallica range?

I've posted a clip at the following site: http://soundclick.com/brmslash

Please note that I have tweaked some of the cathode trimmers.  You may also want to check out a related thread at Metroamp http://forum.metroamp.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=29759&start=225

Yes, it can do beautiful cleans.  Haven't tried a distortion pedal in front of it.  It might be able to get some Metallica like sounds out of it with the gain turned up.

Hey tpruitt,

I just adjusted the cathode trimmers.  The total resistance values I used were: 1st stage - 2k7 total, 2nd stage - 9k1 total, 3rd stage - 8k2 total.

I'm currently in the midst of a significant component change out to bring it more inline with the specs on the MetroAmp forums.  Will post some more clips once I'm happy with the changes.

Here's my latest clip using almost the same as 03 Nov 2012 Ceriatone spec .  Maybe not the best recording or playing but the tone is there.  50's guitar tone wiring helps too.

Hi! Can you tell me what settings for the 2012 specs  you used (including the PPIMV)? Is this 6550 or el34's? What speakers also? I really like that tone Cool
Thanks!
